Riverside, Ca –
- Project Objective:
- Interpreted the data being analyzed from the USRP in order to compare the power spectral density, given a band spectrum of radio frequencies
- By having the User specify a power threshold, the program will check against this number in order to save information on the frequencies that surpass the threshold.
- Displayed the relevant data to a remote user.
- Experimental Hardware and Software Setup:
- USRP 2920
- LabVIEW Communications 2.0
- Secure File Transfer Protocol
- Raspberry Pi
- Visual Studios (C#)
- Project Outcomes:
- Successfully created a project which reads in a range of radio frequencies
- Processed the frequency data being read by the USRP
- Saved the frequency data in a TDMS (technical data management streaming) file
- Saved starts when the power spectral density is greater than the threshold
- Successfully Created & Transferred the CSV(comma separated value) file to a Raspberry Pi through secure shell file transfer protocol
- Successfully Created a User Interface to be used in a second location
- Displayed a notification on the Raspberry Pi
- Alarmed is triggered once the file is received and values displayed
